Yeah. I'd love to continue to use Swipes, but no Mac app (with notification integration!) is making me think I need to look elsewhere.

For those who can't wait for the Mac app, go ahead and get an amazing app called Fluid. Fluid creates the Mac app interface from any URL and it works great. Use Fluid to create a Swipes app that sits in your Dock, ready to launch when needed.

There is a free and paid version $4.99 U.S. at http://fluidapp.com.

How to setup Swipes using Fluid

    1. Download the free or paid version of Fluid at http://fluidapp.com/. I highly recommend the paid version.
    2. Download the Press Kit from the Swipes website (currently at https://infinit.io/link/Yana_Vlatchkova/6Lcftx6)
    3. Install Fluid and launch the app.
    4. There are four fields to setup: URL, Name, Location and Icon.
    5. In the URL field, enter http://web.swipesapp.com/login/, then enter the Name field as “Swipes”.
    6. In the Name field, enter Swipes.
    7. The Location should be Applications.
    8. For the Icon, you will want to setup a customized logo file from the Swipes website using the Press Kit.
    9. Unzip the PRKit_Swipes_April’15.zip file in order to unzip the PRkit Webby Awards_Swipes file inside of the PR Kit.. There you will find the swipes-logo- circle.png file. Drag this file to your desktop.
    10. Instead of using “Use Website Favicon”, select “Other”in the Icon dropdown field and find the swipes-logo-circle.png for the custom Icon.
    11. Click Create
    12. The pop-up window will show “Success! Create Fluid App “Swipes”. Click Launch Now.
    13. Sign in to Swipes using the new Fluid app.
    14. Right click the Swipes icon in your Dock, select Options then Keep in Dock. Drag the Dock icon to the center to prominently display your awesome Swipes app!

Michael Potter- It worked as you described but then everytime I minimize the app, it take me back to the login page where I have to put username and password again.
    Any clue?

    Hello Workila,
I'm wondering if you are using the free version of Fluid? If yes, that would make sense why the minimize drops the connection.

With the paid version of Fluid you get
    1. Create Fluid Apps with Separate Cookie Storage. (Preferences → Security → Cookie Storage)
    2. Pin Fluid Apps to the Mac OS X Status Bar. (Fluid App Menu → Pin to Status Bar…)
    3. Use Userscripts or Userstyles in your Fluid Apps. (Window → Userscripts)
    4. Use Lion Full Screen mode in your Fluid Apps. (View → Enter Full Screen)

    Hello Michael,

I bought the paid version and dragged and dropped the license to the Fluid app and it does the same thing, as soon as I minimize it, it just get logged me out.

However I had downloaded Trello App once which was based on Fluid too, that works fine.

    Help me out-
